As the cost of living continues to rise and food insecurity affects more families, many people across Cabarrus County are struggling just to make ends meet.

That’s what makes organizations like 1Can so vital. Founded in 2019, the nonprofit is dedicated to supporting the county’s most vulnerable residents —particularly the homeless — by providing free access to food and essential hygiene items through its network of 10 Blessing Boxes scattered across the county.
